I took a school trip to Chicago for a week in October. From the time that we landed on Monday, October 5th to Saturday, October 11th our itinerary was jam packed. It would take all day and night to go over everything that we did! Therefore I'll tell y'all a few highlights: The Pizza Tour, Skydeck, and The Tilt.
Willis Tower (Sears Tower)
The Willis Tower consist of 110 floors!
The Skydeck is on the 103rd floor. The Skydeck is literally a glass box that we stepped onto/ into. The sides and bottom are all see through. As we ascended to the 103rd floor the elevator showed a video of how each floor was and buildings around the world that we were passing in height.
John Hancock Center
This building contains the attraction, The Tilt! The Tilt is 1,000 ft above the Magnificent Mile.
The building allows a 360 degree view of Chicago, visibility of 50 miles, Lake Michigan, and four surrounding states. Once the Tilt began it immediately took my breath away. Not only did I feel like I was tilting, but also falling straight through the glass. This was easily the scariest moment in my life.
Chicago Pizza Tour
The Chicago Pizza Tour was absolutely amazing. We went to 4 different pizza locations in four different parts of Chicago. Chicago style pizza is cut into small squares unlike American style pizza that is cut into triangular slices. Also, one pizzeria had a s'mores pizza for dessert!
